Our Experience |
Paul Meadows
President/CEO
After graduating from VMI with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics, I served in the United States Navy for nearly six years. While in the USN I had the opportunity to develop management and leadership skills. In addition to that, I was introduced to technology solutions that allowed me to improve supply inventory and work flow processes in my respective departments. Prior to leaving the USN, I began pursuing my IT credentials by starting with Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Since entering the civilian workforce in 2000, I have served in IT management roles in the K-12 school systems, higher education and healthcare. While serving in those capacities for nearly a decade I have achieved credentials that include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate, CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+.
My work experience, professional development and entrepreneurial spirit led me to create Distributed IT Services, Inc. in 2008. Since then, I have been very blessed with steady business growth despite an unfavorable economy. I have had the opportunity to assemble a group of wonderfully talented, like-minded people that have helped me to see Distributed IT double and triple in growth each year for the past several years. I look forward to many great years of continued growth as we continue to partner with some of the best clients in the state.
I have always said that I hardly fit the mold of the stereo-typical IT guy. I am most excited about technology products and services that solve business problems. In my free time I really enjoy the outdoors as well as sports. I especially enjoy camping with the entire family and fishing or hunting with my friends and family. I also love college football and Nascar! |

I am presently the Lead Engineer for the Central Virginia market. My IT background dates way back to the 80's and the Commodore 64C era. I have been in IT professionally for quite some time now obtaining my B.S. in Network Security from ECPI. I have an array of certifications that range from Microsoft Engineering to Cisco Security. I am presently working on my Masters degree in Network Security also.
For fun? I am getting addicted to playing the Wii with my children. I’m the worst at all of the games and the kids love it. I married my high school sweetheart, Nicole, and we have five beautiful children. I enjoy playing basketball, working out at the gym, reading and whipping Paul Meadows in racquetball (just ask him). |

In my downtime I like spending time with my wife and three kids. I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle, going to the gym, and fixing healthy meals. I love sports, especially college basketball (Duke). Crystal Meadows
Office Administrator
I graduated from Roanoke College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. I also received my license to teach elementary school, and was able to teach first grade for several years in Alleghany County, Virginia. I married my husband, Paul, in 2000 and we started our family in 2001. I was blessed to be able to stay at home with our children until they were of age to go to school. In 2008, my husband started Distributed IT Services, Inc. and I began helping him with the accounting and some clerical work . Two and half years later, the business has grown and so have my responsibilities. I now manage Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and day-to-day office operations. I look forward to many years of working to help grow Distributed IT Services.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my wonderful children, Isabella and Carson. I also like to go camping with my family and spending time sitting on my deck. |
